Based around a Hydroformed step through frame to ensure easy mounting, with comfort geometry, front suspension forks and suspension seat post making a long day in the saddle a breeze.

Designed for all walks of life, coping just as well on a beaten rural track as it does on the paved city streets. Merida have included a broad Shimano Altus M2000 gearing system and responsive Shimano MT-200 hydraulic disc brakes to aspire confidence whatever the conditions, and with front/rear mudguards and sturdy rear rack, you’re all set for one hell of an adventure.

Shimano Steps E5000 Powered

The heart of the eSpresso City 300 lies with it’s Shimano Steps E5000 crank driven motor. Offering 40Nm torque with easilty switchable power assist modes, the E5000 is Shimano’s lightest motor to date at only 2.5KG, and with virtually silent, seamless power delivery, it would seem this motor is perfectly suited. Ready for all weather conditions, so you’re never left high & dry.

Powering the motor, you’ll find a 418Wh Shimano E8014 battery, neatly situated on the seat tube for a balanced centre of gravity. Capable of up to 40 miles from a full charge.

Prolite 66 Triple Butted Aluminum

Our proven high-end aluminium (6066) is extremely light and durable. Using triple butted wall thicknesses and hydroforming technology, we can tune the aluminium tubes to give the best possible stiffness to weight ratio.

HFS – Hydro Forming System

Tubes are inserted into negative moulds and a hot emulsion of water and oil is forced through at pressure, enabling them to be formed into complex shapes.

Di2 Ready

Bikes/frames with the symbol ‘Di2 Ready’ are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology with battery mounting in the seat post or within the fork steerer.

Internal Cable Routing

Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
